Here’s why:

• Acceptance is arguably the most important skill in improv. Things are constantly changing. Acceptance allows us to make the most out of the worst situations and create a space free of negative judgement. The less there is, the less we fear.

• Listening is number one in our hearts. It is the key to understanding and accepting what another person is communicating. Listening to understand, not listening just to hear.

• Collaboration is the difference between a team and a group.We make each other look good by adding on to an idea different than our own.

• Creativity is what happens when we fully accept the ideas of others. We rediscover a sense of play and ask ourselves “what if…?” We can try all ideas while still maintaining a safe space for creation.
